Frequently Asked Questions
I’m based in the picturesque Fraser Valley, specifically in Chilliwack, BC. Nestled in this serene community, I’m privileged to capture the beauty of our surroundings and the heartfelt moments of local families and couples. If you’re in the Fraser Valley or beyond, I’m ready to bring your unique story to life through my lens.
Wear comfortable clothing that reflects your personal style but also coordinates well with each other. Avoid overly bright colors or loud patterns that may distract from the focus on your family.
I recommend opting for neutral colors such as soft pastels, earthy tones, creams, grays, and muted hues. These colors tend to complement each other well and create a cohesive and timeless aesthetic in your portraits.
Sessions typically last between 20 to 40 minutes, but the duration can vary based on the weather and how everyone is feeling. I believe in allowing ample time for everyone to feel relaxed in order to capture genuine moments.
I offer suggestions for locations based on your preferences. Ultimately, I’m flexible and open to exploring locations that hold special meaning for your family.
Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak seasons. It’s best to secure your preferred date at least 4-6 weeks beforehand to ensure availability. That being said, it doesn’t hurt to ask! I occasionally have last minute mini sessions available that I can sneak you in for.
Yes, absolutely! While I love capturing candid moments, I also provide gentle direction to ensure everyone looks their best while maintaining a natural and relaxed feel.
A few days after your session, I’ll provide you a link to a selection of “sneak peaks.” Within 2-3 weeks I’ll send you a new link to the full online gallery for you to view and download from. You will be able to download photo resolutions both “for web” (best for social media posts) and “high res” (best for print).
Of course! Pets are part of the family and are more than welcome to join the session. Just let me know in advance, and we can plan accordingly.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule the session for a more suitable day without any additional fees.
It’s completely normal for children to feel uneasy during photo sessions. I have techniques to engage and capture natural moments, even if the little ones aren’t feeling particularly cooperative.
